Challenge Me Happy Reveal & Sketchy Thursdays

Today is the latest reveal at Challenge Me Happy! It's a beautiful color palette...very inspiring for a girly page :)

I made this...photos of Paige finally fitting into the forward-facing carseat. Perfect for pinks, greens & browns :) I used a mixture of random papers, most of them pretty old and from my stash. Yep, I used the bubble wrap again...I'm a wee bit obsessed with it. I cut the scallops using the Lite Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge and then added some stitching. I also used some punched circles as masks for the background.

I used some paint-on pink Smooch to add more color to the flower petals.

Artfull Crafts hopes to see you online or instore soon!! We will be open over the summer period!

If you'd like to take part in this challenge, visit the Challenge Me Happy blog HERE and see what the other DT members created. Upload your layout there. Remember, you must create a new layout for this challenge ONLY...no combining challenges or it won't count towards the prize.

I also finished up the latest sketch at Sketchy Thursdays. I have been wanting to scrap these cute pictures of Paige's baby crack...haha! They're just so adorable :)

I had this cute baby tag in my old stash...and it just jumped out at me to use it! I added some blue chalk to white Thickers to give them the color I wanted.

I also added buttons and stitching...as usual...haha!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back soon with the latest ScrapFIT reveal :)

Tuckered Out & Easter Goodies

I wanted to share a layout I created as a sample for ScrapFIT's Weekend Warm-Up #19. The challenge is to use stitching on your layout or card. I remember when I first started scrapping...all I used was paper, stickers & deco scissors! Look how far we've come with all the cool things to use on layouts...I never would have thought about using thread or stitching. I'm so glad it's made its way into scrapbooking because I love the effect and the look! I find myself hand-stitching on almost all of my layouts nowadays.

Here is what I made...lots of color going on! I broke out the bubble wrap again for this one...that's another thing I can't get enough of. In addition to hand-stitching, I used one of my border stamps that looks just like stitching around the edges.

Here is another layout I made weeks ago but kept forgetting to post. It's my last Easter 2010 layout. I used a scalloped shape as a mask and misted the yellow around it, and then I lightly chalked the inside of the scallop with pink. I love colored chalks! Of course, more stitching....and a ribbon banner. I think I'm addicted to little banners! I've been creating them a lot lately.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week :)

Sweet Peach Layout & Paper Thrills Reveal

I have two layouts to share today...the first one is made with the November Sweet Kit from Sweet Peach Crop Shop. There is a lot of MME, Crate, Studio Calico and Pink Paislee included, and it is all so beautiful! Here is one of the layouts I made from it...

I love these photos of my sweet little Paige taking naps on two of her Papas :) They make great pillows!

These wooden alphas are so neat! You can alter them any way you want. I misted and inked mine to match my yellow accents.

The base MME paper has these really pretty glittery gold accents, and so I cut a loopy border with my Cuttlebug and stickled some gold onto it. I love this!

My second layout for today is part of the latest reveal at Paper Thrills. This challenge is part of the 12 Challenges of Christmas. Use things you'd find on your favorite sweater: thread, buttons & a funky pattern. I used polka dots, and of course, thread and buttons.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend :)

Super fun ScrapFIT reveal!

Today is reveal day at ScrapFIT! I was hesitant at first with this challenge because it's hard for me to scrap photos other than my children. I've never even really considered scrapping pictures of me. I was forced out of my comfort zone, and guess what...I LOVED IT! I absolutely love this layout. I love the colors and the embellishments. I want to start an album of things about me, and this is a great page to add.

The challenge is called Technically Inclined, and it's all about scrapping your favorite techno gadget -- a camera, video game, smart phone, computer, iPod, etc. Mine was my Canon, of course :)

I cut a circular shape on my Cricut and used it as a mask. Isn't that such a cool technique?

I've had these little wire words for so long, and I pulled them out of my stash. Perfect for this layout about me!

I seem to do some kind of stitching on every layout I make lately. I just scribbled some lines and stitched over them. No rhyme or reason at all. That's not like me, either!

Here is what I made. I've been wanting to scrap this picture of Reese...I just love it! The papers and colors of this month's Sweet Kit just matched it perfectly.

The next Weekend Warm-Up is on the blog over at ScrapFIT! This one is about using stamps of some sort on your layout. I created this as a sample layout. I used bubble wrap as a stamp...I just love the look it gives.

Good Tuesday morning! Today is the 1st, which means it's time for the latest ScrapFIT Workout! Yay! This one is all about preparing for Christmas. The challenge is to create a Christmas card or tag.

Here is what I created. I wanted to use this cute snowman that I cut from patterned paper. I misted the background, and added some stamps.

I also cut these matching hearts from patterned paper, and I popped the center one up for more dimension.
